We are proud to announce we are a recommended HR app by Xero!

For those of you who don’t know Xero is a SaaS (Software as a Service) accountancy platform, that has taken the accountancy world by storm ever since it was developed in a tiny New Zealand apartment back in 2006.

Xero gained popularity by providing small business owners with the tools required to save time and money on tedious day to day accountancy tasks. They made accounts available anywhere, anytime from any device, whilst automating other time-consuming business tasks like chasing unpaid invoices or reconciling bank statements.

citrus HR was conceived in 2013 with a similar ethos – to make it as easy as possible for small businesses to manage their people. So it made perfect sense to link up people admin with accountancy to create a seamless workflow from new employee to payroll to accounts.

The integration started with an expenses feature allowing staff to record expenses and businesses to easily send them directly to Xero’s bill records. Then more recently we linked our payroll software to Xero accounts.

Our payroll software is the first in the UK to take new starters, leavers, absences, holidays and other employee data and calculate monthly or weekly payroll automatically. No more manual calculations, inputting data, or use of multiple systems or spreadsheets. Payroll is calculated in a few clicks, submitted to HMRC and posted to Xero in the time it takes to make a cup of tea.

Both the expenses and payroll integrations run seamlessly with Xero, and save small businesses hours every month.

This integration is regularly nurtured and we’ve just added OAuth 2.0 to our integration that makes the data even more secure when transferring between citrus HR and Xero.
