On Saturday the 31st of October the Government announced a second lockdown for England starting from Thursday 5th of November which means working from home and business closures. To help with this the furlough scheme has been extended until December with the hopes of saving even more UK jobs.
Since the announcement we’ve been working on adapting our furlough support within our software, which will be live to use from tomorrow morning (3rd Nov). This tool will let you book in furloughs for your team and then view or export a Furlough Grant Claim Report to help you claim the grant from HMRC.
And of course we’ve been advising our HR Support customers how to navigate these changes. Our in-house legal team have been burning the midnight oil over the weekend to update all our easy to understand Coronavirus guides with the latest changes. And we’re helping customers who had just put staff onto the Job Support Scheme migrate to the more generous extended furlough scheme.
